GIVE THE GIFT OF SAFETY, HOPE AND HEALING
1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men have been physically abused by an intimate partner. Often times, accessing Womenspace services can be the first empowering step to helping people leave dangerous situations. In 2018, over 2800 adults an children found safety hope and healing in the services provided by Womenspace.
YOU are part of the healing. Your donation helps survivors of domestic violence receive the support they need to begin building a life free from violence.
Everyone deserves a life free from fear and abuse.
DONATE BY CHECK
P.O. Box 50127, Eugene, OR 97405
Womenspace is a 501(c)3 nonprofit. Tax ID #: 93-0692905.
With the amazing generosity and support of Rosaria Haugland, Womenspace partnered with The Oregon Community Foundation (OCF) to create the Womenspace Endowment Fund. With OCF’s stewardship and long-term investment program, our endowment fund will be maintained in perpetuity to provide a stable stream of income that will support survivors of domestic violence well into the future.
With this partnership, you have the opportunity to designate a gift to this permanent fund to support the future of Womenspace. We also offer our donors the option of creating a life income gift, often called a planned gift. OCF staff works with our staff and donors to create bequests, charitable remainder trusts (CRTs) and charitable gift annuities (CGAs). Assets remaining at the termination of the trust or gift annuity will be designated to a fund that will provide ongoing support for Womenspace.
GIFTS OF STOCK
Gifts of appreciated stock allow donors to bypass capital gains taxes and receive a charitable tax deduction.
Womenspace welcomes the donation of new and/or clean gently used items to support survivors. The Crisis and Support Center maintains a regular supply of household items and clothing to give to survivors in transition. The Safehouse houses up to seven households and provides all household necessities including food. Please click HERE for specific items needed.
Due to limited storage space, we can no longer accept donations of used clothes. St. Vincent dePaul and Goodwill have agreed to accept clothing donations on behalf of Womenspace and will provide vouchers and gift cards for survivors. This arrangement works well for survivors to select what they need from a larger selection.
Donated items can be delivered to the Womenspace main office located at 1577 Pearl Street, 2nd floor, between 9 am and 5 pm Monday through Friday. Please call our front desk at 541-485-8232 if you would like further information or assistance.
